In-home Counseling
Hello, my name is Valisa Way. I discovered my calling in high school when my parents owned an adult foster care home. It was during this period of my life that my calling started. Over the next 25 years I worked in health care settings, from management in assisted living/memory care, nursing centers and short stints in hospitals (health and mental).
In 2014, I earned by B.S. Gerontology and Psychology from Western Oregon University. In 2021, I completed my, Master's in Social Work from Portland State University. The past 5 years I've worked as a medical social worker in home health, bringing me to where I am today.
My mission is to provide guidance to our older adult population. Providing counseling in their homes as they navigate through loss, grief and aging. To find understanding and acceptance in the face of changes brought on by chronic and terminal illnesses. Bringing hope of quality of life despite the challenges.
